Find Hutchinson Criminal Dockets

Start with the right court and its clerk. Every Hutchinson County criminal docket lives with the clerk of the court handling the case, and knowing whether charges sit in district court, County Court, justice court, municipal court, or federal court tells you both where the file waits and how to look it up. The Hutchinson County criminal docket tracks charges, settings, filings, and where a case stands. Online lookup tools help but have limits. They can't promise the full file or anonymous searching, so call the clerk when a search comes up empty, a matter is old or restricted, or a hearing date needs a quick check.

Hutchinson Criminal Docket Login Fallback

A login wall does not mean the Hutchinson County criminal docket is sealed. An empty search result does not mean the case is absent. The local inquiry may demand an authorized account, or it may simply lack the court, year, or document you need. re:SearchTX also runs on accounts and roles. Its public view can differ from what a party, attorney of record, clerk, or court sees.

Skip the guessing and use a fallback chain. For an 84th or 316th District Court matter, call the District Clerk at 806-878-4017. For the constitutional County Court, call the County Clerk at 806-878-4002. Both offices sit at 515 S. Main Street in Stinnett, open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Mail goes to PO Box 580 for the District Clerk or PO Box 1186 for the County Clerk. The clerk posts no local mail-copy form or turnaround promise, so ask about format, payment, and delivery before sending any funds.

Inside a Hutchinson County Criminal Docket

Two official 2024 County Court criminal docket PDFs reveal the local schedule layout. They do not bind every Hutchinson County criminal court to that format. The heading gives the court, judge, date, and time. Each row can carry a cause number, defendant field, defense attorney, bondsman, file date, hearing or setting, and charge or offense. The filed mark belongs to the County Clerk's administrative record.

CauseThe court’s primary locator. Use the exact cause number rather than inventing a standard format.
Hearing or settingAn event label, such as arraignment, that identifies the scheduled step rather than the result.
Charge or offenseThe allegation or filed charge label. It is not itself a conviction.
File dateThe date tied to a filing or row, which may differ from the hearing date.
Attorney or bondsmanParticipant fields present in the County Court sample, not a universal district or municipal layout.
Filed stampAn administrative mark showing receipt by the clerk, not a judgment or sentence.

The document behind an entry may hold more detail than the public schedule shows. A certified copy also serves a purpose a free docket view cannot. When the schedule alone leaves your question open, ask the clerk for the precise filed item.

Hutchinson Criminal Caseload Snapshot

The District Clerk's January 2026 OCA monthly report adds context to the Hutchinson County criminal docket. It is not a person-level lookup. It counts 176 criminal cases pending at the start of the month. Drug possession led the listed categories with 66. Other felonies followed with 36, and felony DWI with 17. The same report showed 111 active cases after adjustment. Inactive cases numbered 66.

Treat these as aggregate report categories. They are not counts of convictions or unique people, and they predict nothing about a current setting. "Active" and "inactive" in an OCA report never equal the disposition shown in an individual Hutchinson County criminal docket.

How a Criminal Case Moves

A criminal docket grows with each event. The court records every filed or scheduled happening as the case moves. The exact path depends on the charge, court, plea, motions, and orders. The local County Court sample lists arraignment as a setting label. It offers no county glossary for every event code. No district docket sample with a full register of actions appears here.

Docket flow: Filing › Arraignment › Pretrial › Plea or Trial › Disposition › Sentencing

A reset or continuance moves a setting; it never dismisses the charge. A charge row is likewise not a final judgment. When an abbreviation stumps you, read the cause number and exact text to the owning clerk instead of borrowing a meaning from another county's system.

Hutchinson Criminal Docket PDF Limits

The official County Court criminal docket PDFs work well as schedule snapshots. They show how Hutchinson County labels each entry. A cause, setting, charge, attorney, and bondsman all appear on the dated court list. They do not prove that every misdemeanor is posted online. They do not stand in for the full case file. Nor do they set the layout for the 84th District Court, 316th District Court, JP1, JP2, or a city municipal court.

Pull the newest PDF or calendar entry to find the court and setting. Then confirm any conflict with the clerk. A later order, reset, or cancellation may not share the update time of a saved PDF. For a full filing history, locate the cause through the Hutchinson County Case Lookup process. Request the named document from the clerk if public access permits it.

Note: A schedule line can point to a case. Only the court's current record can confirm what happened next.

Courts That Hold Criminal Dockets

Where a Hutchinson County criminal docket lives depends on the level of the charge. Felonies go to the 84th and 316th District Courts. The District Clerk keeps those registers. Misdemeanor work in the constitutional County Court runs through the County Clerk instead. Hutchinson County has no County Court at Law in the state court structure material.

Check the court name printed on the citation before you call anyone. A criminal charge does not send the paper straight to the District Clerk. That is not automatic in Hutchinson County. Borger, Fritch, and Stinnett each run their own municipal court. A ticket from one of those cities belongs there. The OCA directory lists no Sanford municipal court.

Confirm Hutchinson Criminal Docket Settings

When a hearing is close, or two online listings disagree, call the court itself. The 84th District Court publishes 806-878-4022. For the 316th District Court, the number is 806-878-4019. Either line can confirm a courtroom or a setting on the criminal docket. The files themselves sit with Tammy McBrayer. She is the District Clerk whose office keeps the district criminal case records for Hutchinson County.

Use the cause number plus court. A common name can match more than one record. The exact court and cause number give staff the strongest search key.

County Court settings run through the County Clerk and the posted docket or calendar. For a JP or municipal matter, call the court that issued the case. Keep this in mind. A payment portal, a warrant link, or a remote-magistration page covers only one task. None of those tools adds up to a full Hutchinson County criminal docket search.

Sealed Dockets and Public Access

Access to a Hutchinson County criminal docket depends on case-record law, court rules, statutes, and any court order in the file. The Texas Public Information Act binds executive agencies, but it does not reach the judiciary in the same way. The Texas Judicial Branch open-records policy draws its own line, separating adjudicative case records from Rule 12 judicial records.

Key access rules:

Texas Government Code §552.0035 places judicial access under court rules and other law rather than ordinary public-information treatment.

Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 covers access to qualifying judicial records while listing exclusions and exemptions.

Texas court rules protect sensitive data and work with role-based electronic access.

Juvenile, sealed, expunged, nondisclosed, and sensitive filings face limits of their own. They can be redacted, or missing from public docket results altogether. Gaps have other causes too. Some Hutchinson County records simply predate portal coverage. Some belong to a different court entirely. Ask before assuming anything. The clerk can say whether the exact document is public, redacted, restricted, or available only by court order. Whatever the answer, never copy personal identifiers from a docket or filing.

Federal Hutchinson Criminal Dockets

Federal criminal cases with ties to Hutchinson County never touch the county Odyssey register. They belong to a different system. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas places Hutchinson County in its Amarillo Division. That is where the federal criminal docket lives. To pull docket entries and case documents, use PACER. Its national Case Locator helps if you are not sure which court holds the file. Be ready for account signup and per-page fees on the PACER side. Do not treat the federal route as one more window onto the county court record. It is a separate court with its own numbering. A state cause number usually means nothing there. The Amarillo Division clerk keeps none of the 84th, 316th, County Court, JP, or municipal dockets. Read the paperwork first. Then go to whatever system the court named on it actually owns.
