Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the request and supplies any result; we do not keep or log the terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email messages are retained as needed to answer them. They remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical information whenever a visitor loads a page, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies stored on a device help show how people move through the site, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic information. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some features operate.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Hutchinson County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case records. It publishes general routing information for records held by the District Clerk, County Clerk, courts, and statewide systems. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted through those tools. Review the applicable provider policy before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to clerk pages, court portals, statewide systems, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Standard safeguards are used for collected data, but no internet system is completely secure. Reasonable protection does not amount to a guarantee that a breach cannot occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor may be requested for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with the law that applies where a visitor lives. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, concerns government records and does not itself turn this private site’s visitor data into a public court record. Texas Government Code §552.0035 also distinguishes the judiciary, while Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12, commonly called Rule 12, governs covered judicial records. At a minimum, visitors may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version will be posted here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review the page periodically.
